Verbs are action words. There are regular and irregular verbs.
The verb will have different spellings if the subject is singular or plural when different tenses are used.
Example :
He walks (singular verb, present tense) to the bank.
They walk (plural verb, present tense) to the bank.
He walked (singular verb, past tense) to the bank.
They walked (plural verb, past tense) to the bank.
Regular Verbs
Usually 's' or 'ies' is added for singular nouns in the present tense.
Irregular verbs
Irregular verbs in past tense form have different spellings or the spelling remain the same.
